Callas and Tebaldi face off in a battle for operatic supremacy.

In The Battle of the Divas, players take on the roles of Maria Callas and Renata Tebaldi in their struggle for operatic supremacy. Throughout the game, each diva will perform great operas, gain notoriety, and experience key moments in her career in a chronology that will shape her legacy. The goal is to earn more points than your rival, which can be achieved through various strategies:

  • Perform iconic operas in the most prestigious theaters.
  • Skillfully manage diva cards, which include historical events, special abilities, and key moments in their careers.
  • Master the piano and expand your vocal range, which is essential for unlocking new musical opportunities.
  • Manage your influence over the orchestra and your fame in theaters, allowing you to adjust the timeline and gain decisive advantages.

The game ends when five operas have been performed. At that point, players add up the points earned in theaters, with the orchestra, at the piano, and in the timeline to determine who has left the most indelible mark on opera history. Will Callas' irresistible charisma or Tebaldi's vocal perfection win the ultimate glory? Only the stage will decide.

The Palco Reale expansion builds on La battaglia delle divas by intensifying the duel and raising the drama a notch or two. As the legendary rivalry between Callas and Tebaldi reaches its climax on stage, all eyes turn to the private boxes. The parade of celebrities, aristocrats, and jet-setters turns each performance into a show within a show.
