Oltre Mare immerses players into Venetian trading across the Mediterranean: each player controls a trade ship, sails from port to port, buys or trades goods, loads cargo and tries to maximize profits upon selling the goods. The game blends negotiation, hand-management, risk/reward and trading — on each turn players negotiate, buy, load, sail. The game pairs a board with a multi-functional card system: each good card defines the sailor’s capacity (hand limit), cargo capacity, and triggers various actions (earn money, draw cards, navigate, risk pirates), making each turn a mix of strategy and chance. 

It supports 2–5 players, with games lasting around 60 minutes
