You deploy agents to buy goods from incoming ships, store them in your warehouse, and then sell them on various markets when timing is optimal. Beyond trading, you can curry favor with senators: political influence (victory points) can be gained through corruption or smart deals. This is not just a basic economic game — there are auctions, worker placement, theft, and contracts to navigate in order to maximize your profit and prestige.
The market and game events change throughout the game, shifting commodity prices and keeping players on their toes.
The game ends when a player reaches certain economic thresholds or when key resources are exhausted. Victory goes to the player with the most crowns and political favors.
