Yomi 2: Bashing vs Finesse Starter Set: a card battle game where you choose your character and gem, then fight!

Yomi 2: Bashing vs Finesse Starter Set contains Troq, the benevolent beast, and River, the dancing swordsman. Troq is a grappler who hits hard and is relatively easy to play. River is a delicate character who can adopt two special stances and requires more finesse to play.

This set also contains the Orange and Diamond gems, which can be used to upgrade these two characters or any other character from any other Yomi 2 set. (Note that this is the ONLY set that contains the Orange and Diamond gems.)

Yomi 2 refines this concept from the original game with several new mechanics, such as gems to modify your character, reversals that allow for high/low combinations, the ability to “take the lead” to speed up your attacks, and a system that allows you to swap cards from your hand with those in your discard pile to build the hand you want.

The gameplay consists of playing a combat card blind, revealing it simultaneously with your opponent, and then playing additional combo cards if necessary. Before playing your combat card each turn, you also have several ways to manipulate your hand, such as strengthening your super moves or swapping an unwanted card from your hand for a more interesting card from your discard pile.

Compatible with the 10 characters from the Road to Morningstar set and the 10 characters from the Shadows over Flagstone set.
