In 221 B.C., the Warring Kingdoms were unified: the vast Empire of China was born, led by Qin Shi Huangdi. A gifted and determined strategist, but also a shrewd governor, he took steps to standardize all the basic elements of Chinese society and culture: he imposed a single script and currency, then established a system of equal laws for all.
He also built palaces, canals and roads, abolished the feudal system and installed governors in the regions to avoid political chaos. Finally, he began work on the greatest human construction ever: the Great Wall.
A lifetime would not be enough to rule such a vast empire: he sent ships to distant lands in search of the legendary elixir of life, and had an immense mausoleum built to symbolize his empire: to defend it for all eternity, he deployed an immense terracotta army...
To earn your place in the Terracotta Army, you'll have to take action on the Empire's various projects:
Go in search of the elixir of immortality via the sea,
Install governors in the various regions of China to strengthen your influence, and build sumptuous palaces,
Help build the Great Wall,
Add your own sculptures to the Emperor's mausoleum.
