If we were to follow the principles of US series, this booklet would be nothing less than the pilot episode. It provides you with a starting background inspired by a hit series, complete with all the hallmarks of the genre.
You'll have a hook, locations, and extras (NPCs) to populate your setting. You'll also get tips on how to create your team of hunters in keeping with the atmosphere. To get things started, you also have a first Mystery typical of its reference (here, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), a countdown to the Mystery, advice on the Keeper's tactics (revelations, separations, equipment, etc.), and detailed descriptions of the monster and its minions (if any).
Crève-Coeur is set in Gray Ridge, a small, seemingly normal town in California. At least, that's how it appears on the surface. But it is the scene of regular supernatural phenomena, even if few residents dare to speak about it openly.
Facing the monsters is a group of high school students, some more role-playing than others, some better equipped than others, but all highly motivated.
