RuneQuest is a fantasy role-playing game set in the world of Glorantha, for two or more players and a game master (GM). RuneQuest players take on the roles of adventurers, heroes who rise to the challenges they encounter, created by the game master, who depicts the world and its incredible inhabitants.
 
Adventurers are defined by their skills, passions, equipment, and magical abilities such as spells and mastery of the powerful Runes. Just as the most inexperienced peasant can slay a giant or even a dragon, with a lot of luck. Such is life in the world of Glorantha.
 
Surrounded by war, the heroes of Glorantha prepare for their greatest challenge yet, the looming War of Heroes, an apocalyptic battle that will shape the destiny of the world for ages to come. To prove themselves worthy, the heroes embark on adventures and stand against Chaos and their ancient enemies, the Lunar Empire.
