Children who get lost on a rainy night end up leaving the adult world and wandering into the City. While a few miraculously find their way home, many are unfortunately carried away by the sirens of the downpour, shapeless monsters hungry for human flesh. And then there are the others, those who survive but never find their parents; after many rains, they eventually come across the fortress of the clouds: Libreté.
Within the walls of the citadel, they discover a society ruled by children who live by fighting gang wars, searching for food and performing strange daily rituals; children who imagine they can go on like this forever, safe from adults and monsters. They do not realise that outside, the sirens of the downpour are gathering, growing in number each day, waiting for the final assault that will bring down the fortress...
You are one of the children of the citadel. Will you manage to snatch a little happiness from the black bile that drives you towards violence and loneliness? Will you be able to defend your loved ones against ambitious gang leaders and the monsters of the rain?
