Shadow Oracle Tarot Deck

Description

Shadow Oracle Deck, a standalone gothic oracle for Tales of the Valiant and D&D 5E

Shadow Oracle Deck is a 56-card tarot-sized deck, designed as a standalone product to add mystical themes and "fate" elements to Tales of the Valiant or any D&D 5E-compatible game. Illustrated by Damjan Gjorgievski in a dark, atmospheric style, it shares the gothic aesthetic of the Night Hunters supplement but is used independently. The cards are divided into 13 Arcana, representing major thematic forces, and suit cards ranging from Ace to King.

An oracle system and an integrated tavern game

Shadow Oracle Deck lets the GM draw omens and reveal fates and destinies to weave mystical plots into a campaign, for example through a fortune teller whose readings shape the story. The imagery and Arcana also serve as creative prompts for building adventures, NPCs, and mysterious items.
Shadow Oracle Deck also includes rules for Shadowjack, a fast-paced tavern game where characters — or the players themselves between encounters — use their suit cards to claim Arcana.
