Conquerors Audax is a collectible playing card deck published by Thirdway Industries and designed by Giovanni Meroni. It is the standard version of the Conquerors series, whose central theme is Victory: the "war" depicted is a metaphor for the pursuit of one's personal goals.
True to Meroni's modern, symbolic art style, the deck associates each suit with a path to victory: Spades (Strategy), Hearts (Bravery), Clubs (Brute Force) and Diamonds (Power). The jokers feature mythological figures — Mars Invictus (god of war), Victoria Alata (Winged Victory) and Fortuna Velata (goddess of Luck).
Audax stands out for its marked use of gold metallic inks, on both the faces and the tuck box, and is printed by USPCC. Designed for both collecting and play, it makes a fine entry point into the Conquerors universe.
Key features:
- Artist playing cards: art style by Giovanni Meroni.
- Strong theme: Victory, with rich symbolism.
- Gold finish: metallic inks on the cards and tuck box.
