Obsession Yearn is a collectible playing card deck published by Thirdway Industries and designed by Giovanni Meroni. The foundation deck of the Obsession series, it explores the psychological themes of desire and obsession, personified as a goddess who is both blessing and curse, under the motto "I crave, therefore I exist." Each court figure embodies a facet of obsession (sacrifice, love, identity, knowledge, greed…), in its creator's modern, geometric art style.
Unlike the more opulent editions of the series (Rapture, Goldlust), the Yearn version is designed for play: its pips are large and readable, and its faces avoid the foiling that could be distracting during a game. Presented in an elegant Italian paper tuck box, this deck remains usable for any classic card game and is also a beautiful collectible.
