Mighty Shot is an asymmetric duel game that pits two champions, or two teams of two, against each other in the arena known as the Rift of Fate, at the heart of the Sorceline universe. Each player controls a champion backed by minions and aims to knock the rival champion out of the fight. The game combines two mechanics rarely paired at this level: area control, driven by minion deployment and a champion specific hand of cards, and dexterity, expressed through flicking shots on a dedicated neoprene shooting track. This two layer design, tactical first and physical second, sets Mighty Shot apart from combat games resolved with dice or cards alone, giving the shot itself real weight in the outcome of the fight.
Before play begins, each participant picks a champion, sets up their board and neoprene shooting track, then draws a starting hand of cards. A game of Mighty Shot unfolds over several rounds structured around fixed phases. Players first deploy their minions on the territory tiles to take control of zones and gather Arcana. This resource fuels the cards played during the action phase, which activate champion abilities or set up an attack. The shooting phase follows: each player flicks pucks across the neoprene track to hit enemy minions and establish an arcane link reaching the targeted champion. A dedicated shooting track calls for a clear, stable table, a point worth planning for in four player games, where several tracks sit side by side.
A game of Mighty Shot ends when a champion's health track reaches zero, putting that side out of the fight. In one versus one mode, this knockout ends the confrontation. In two versus two mode, the opposing team must eliminate both champions to win, which can extend play over several additional rounds. The arcane links formed during the shooting phase play a decisive role in how quickly the game ends, since they transfer damage to the targeted champion without any dice roll involved. This mechanic puts shooting precision on the same level as board reading in deciding the winner.
