Haati - Le Duel des Maharajas

Description

Haati: a wildly addictive tactical duel!

On each turn, both players secretly choose one of their “Animal” cards and reveal them simultaneously. The elephant beats the tiger, the tiger beats the mouse, and the mouse beats the elephant. When both animals are the same, the one with the higher value wins.

Since players hold only two “Animal” cards at a time, the information becomes progressively more predictable as the game progresses. Thus, Haati evolves from a simple card game into an intense battle combining deduction, anticipation, and mind games.

Winning a duel is rewarding, but losing can be just as decisive:

  • the winner places their animal in the palace and gains prestige through favors and honor.
  • The loser places their animal in the jungle, where it can influence both players’ collections and determine which card their opponent will draw next.

Throughout the game, players build collections of animals, recruit “Character” cards with unique abilities, and must constantly strike a balance between short-term gains and long-term strategy.

One of Haati’s key features is its dual scoring system:

  • Favors provide immediate prestige but disappear between rounds.
  • Honor is harder to earn but allows you to retain your prestige from one round to the next.

With simple rules, high-stakes decisions, and constant interaction, Haati offers a rich strategic experience in just 20 minutes. Easy to learn yet full of subtle choices, it captures the atmosphere of a classic card duel in a compact and elegant design.
