Description

#FFFFFF is a minimalist card game published by Offline Éditions, featuring a radical design where both the box and the 32 cards inside are entirely white, devoid of any illustrations or text. Players aim to successfully draw a single card per turn without accidentally picking up multiple cards that may stick together, relying on a mechanic centered around touch and dexterity.

Unlike traditional board games, #FFFFFF does not include a narrative theme or fictional universe. Its uniqueness lies in its radical design: the absence of color and motifs forces players to focus on the texture of the cards and their ability to separate them without damage. This approach positions the game as an abstract and conceptual experience, akin to artist-driven or interactive installations.
The game starts with a central pile of 32 white cards. On a player’s turn, they draw one card:
  • If they successfully retrieve only one card, they place it in front of them and their turn ends.
  • If they draw two or more cards (due to sticking), they must return them to the pile and pass the turn.
The game proceeds in this manner, with no complex strategy or decisions. It is an atmospheric game where the challenge lies in physical precision and managing frustration.
The first player to collect 9 cards in front of them wins the game. If the central pile runs out before any player reaches this goal, the game ends, and the player with the most cards is declared the winner.
A typical game lasts around 10 minutes, though this can vary based on the number of players and their ability to separate the cards.
