Flow: Untamed Rivers is a strategic tile-laying game in which players take turns placing a tile on the board representing the rainforest. This gradually forms a river maze, in which you must always be careful not to miss an opportunity for yourself or overlook one of your opponents.
Each player has only 3 “lair” tiles, which can be used to build territories. It is therefore important to think carefully about when to use them and when it is better to wait. However, if you wait too long, it may be too late and you will end up with only one or two territories.
In addition, each player has a reservation marker, which reserves a field on the board representing the rainforest until the end and can be worth its weight in gold if placed on the right field.
The game has been beautifully illustrated by Brazilian artist Victor Sales, who of course has a very personal connection to the Amazon region.
