Vileborn - Starter Kit is actually a discovery scenario that can be played in two sessions. After a quick introduction to the game's context, it will take you on an adventure that will explain step by step how to play!

Five years ago, darkness invaded the skies of Egas, bringing with it cold, famine, and terrifying monsters: the Nuisibles.

Since then, you have changed. Darkness has chosen you and given you disturbing powers—but also terrifying urges. The Church considers you an abomination. The Empire seeks to use you as a weapon. Forced to join the Order of Twilight, you will be trained to hunt creatures whose nature reflects your darkest sides.

You are the first Outcasts to be enlisted in the Order of Twilight. You find yourselves at the heart of a conflict between the Church and the Empire. You are at odds with your own nature, feared and despised by all. What will you do with the darkness that dwells within you?

As in coming-of-age novels, you will tell the story of young heroes and heroines who, on the cusp of adulthood, seek their path among relationships with their peers and mentors, forming the kind of bonds that can only be forged through adventures in a world full of danger and mystery.

As in some coming-of-age novels, the setting is dark, and the protagonists must confront not only the darkness of the world itself, but their own dark sides.

Unlike coming-of-age novels, you won't have to follow a predefined plot. Instead, you will craft your own story. Vileborn awaits you!
