D-Day Dice: Goldly Go!, the expansion that sends the USS Enterprise to the D-Day beaches
D-Day Dice: Goldly Go! is an expansion for the cooperative dice-rolling game D-Day Dice, published by Word Forge Games. Its theme is delightfully tongue-in-cheek: a Star Trek parody ("Goldly Go!," a play on "Boldly Go"), where a small crew sent from the USS Enterprise (CV-6) comes to assist the Allied forces on the morning of June 6th, 1944. The expansion introduces new gold dice as well as brand-new mechanics blending science fiction with historical landing gameplay.
What D-Day Dice: Goldly Go! offers
The expansion adds six legendary units, each parodying an iconic Star Trek crew (including "The New Generation," led by a French captain inspired by Jean-Luc Picard) and featuring its own bonus table. Each unit is led by a Captain card with special abilities, and can recruit crewmembers (specialists) as well as "red-shirt" servicemen, a knowing nod to their unenviable fate in the series. Secret Mission / Strange Adventure cards add a new layer of exploration to the classic beach assault.
Requirements and compatibility of D-Day Dice: Goldly Go!
This is an expansion compatible with the 1st and 2nd editions of D-Day Dice as well as D-Day Dice: Pacific: the base game is still required to use it.
