The game consists of a 100-square checkerboard (10 by 10 squares) and two teams of 20 checkers. At the beginning of the game, players place their checkers on the dark squares. Thus, four rows are filled on each side of the players, leaving the two middle rows empty. The game ends when a player runs out of checkers or is unable to make a move. A game can also end in a tie. A player then proposes to stop the game to his competitor who accepts. The game is called a draw.
