You are the manager of one of the big oil companies, and have to lead your company in a future without oil.

The peak oil is looming: you try to recover the last drops of black gold around the world to gather the resources needed for investment in new technologies.
If you try to emerge victorious from this crisis by normal means, your competitors will resort to other means, forcing you to dirty your hands, too.

During your turn, you will assign your agents to different actions on the board. If your agents are in the majority of any action location, or you decide to send mercenaries to their rescue, they crush the competition and allow you to perform this action. You can develop oil fields and harvest oil, invest in technologies that replace oil, sponsor press campaigns, become pirates, and manipulate public opinion and oil prices.

After a while, the oil, represented by barrels that you pick from a bag when you develop new oil fields, will run out. It is the peak oil, but also the end of the game. Players add up the technologies in which they have invested and promoted.

Whoever has the best participation in the creation of the future (and therefore acquired the best reputation for his company) wins the game.

  • This game was played and recommanded by Vin d'Jeu, here its opinion:
