Palourde is a fast, original, and tactical memory game for 2 to 5 players, accessible from age 4 and up. Easy to take anywhere, it comes in a compact metal tin — but don’t be fooled by its light-hearted look: this beach-themed game hides more strategy than you might think. Stay clam and play on!

Palourde:
Welcome to the Big Beach and the legendary Golden Clam Contest! The tide is low, the sun is shining — in short, the perfect day for clam digging. All the beachcombers are gathered. Their goal? To collect as many clams as possible before the tide comes in.
You'll need a good memory, sharp eyes, and just a touch of strategy to outsmart your fellow fishers!

Rules:
The game begins at low tide. Shuffle and place all cards face down to form the Beach. On your turn, flip over two hidden cards. Depending on the pair revealed, you might:
  • Keep them in your basket
  • Discard them from the game
  • Return them to their place
Each type of pair triggers different actions!
 A pair of crabs, for example, lets you steal a clam from a neighbor…
But keep an eye on the tide — it’s rising — and on the weather, which might suddenly turn!

The game ends when the three High Tide cards have been revealed. The player with the most clams wins the Golden Clam!

The rules are easy to pick up for all ages. They’re available in both French and English inside the box, and as a video tutorial on our website.

Design and Production:
Palourde was created during a recovery period following an accident. It’s a return to the essentials: playing, laughing, and sharing. A tribute to the sea, to childhood memories on the beach, and to life’s simple joys. Each card is unique and hand-painted with watercolor.

The cards are printed in France, and the boxes are made in Italy.
