A game for those who can't get enough of Quincy's Tavern!

Set in the world of Quincy's Tavern, this strategic card game involves playing cards from your hand to form combinations, all while competing to be the first to place all your player tokens.

Players set up the game by choosing one of the four factions (the Griffin Guard, the Phoenix House, the Dragon Synod, or the Kitsune Conclave) and taking all the corresponding tokens, seals, and game mats. Next, the “crossroads” tile is placed in the center of the playing area, in front of all players, and becomes the game board.

Five cards are then dealt to each player, and the rest of the deck is set aside; four additional cards are drawn and placed face up so that everyone can see them.

A turn consists of four actions.

  • Action 1: Play two cards from your hand onto the “Crossroads” tile. You may place a card on a matching tile or on a tile it dominates (Gryphons dominate Phoenixes, Phoenixes dominate Dragons, Dragons dominate Kitsune, and Kitsune dominate Gryphons, following a principle similar to that of the game “rock-paper-scissors”).
  • Action 2: Check if you have formed a Spirit Guardian pattern that matches a pattern on your game mat. If so, place one of your faction tokens on any tile of that pattern to claim it.
  • Action 3: Place your seal tokens on the board. Depending on which side you place face up, this seal will alter the tile it is placed on to match the appearance of the seal you placed on it.
  • Finally, replenish your hand by drawing two additional cards, either from the face-up cards or from the deck.

Each player takes their turn by performing the four actions in a clockwise direction until there is a winner. The game is won when a player has placed all their faction tokens on the game board.
