Not quite fairies, not quite mortals!
In a world of chimeras, congeners, powerful enemies and devious adversaries, this creature lives an ordinary yet magical existence, and finds herself having to reconcile her human obligations with her duties as a Kithain.
She hides under a mortal Guise, the appearance she presents to the outside world and to people insensitive to Glamour, the magical energy that nourishes changelins. She becomes part of a kith, a species with shared appearance, abilities and powers, born of mortal dreams and inspired by beliefs and myths. She manipulates Arts and casts charms, changelins' magic nourished by Glamour.
She chooses which of the two Fairy Courts best suits her philosophy: shadow or light, law or freedom, duty or passion. Finally, she moves from one age to another in the course of her life, from Kid to Rascal to Grumpy (and sometimes, not in that order).
In addition, changelings find themselves subject to a feudal society that can be difficult to accept. He lives in a Domain ruled by a nobleman, where there's a Brasier that provides the Glamour he needs to survive. Fortunately, he usually joins a band of other changelings, and together they face the many dangers that threaten humans, dreams and the Dream.
With an emphasis on playability, Changelin: Le Songe 20th Anniversary Edition updates the changelins' history and details what has happened to Le Songe since the 90s. The book brings together the rules for creating Kithains. It compiles and dusts off rules published in previous iterations, as well as on systems specific to this universe, such as Banality, Glamour, Nightmare and Tumult. It revamps, reorganizes and expands the magic system, explores Dreaming, its Domains and creatures, and introduces numerous magical items.
Last but not least, it features a rich bestiary of chimeras, monsters and devious fairy adversaries, as well as two appendices devoted to Gallains, Kinains and Enchanted.
