Chroniques Oubliées : Contemporain 2 - MK-Pharmakos

Description

Vietnam 1967

Mk-Pharmakos is a campaign in the vein of Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, or The Deer Hunter. Players are invited to take on the roles of young recruits who have decided to enlist for their country in Vietnam.

Divided into 16 episodes (plus a prologue and an epilogue), much like a TV series, it follows the young soldiers from July 1967 to June 1968, as public opinion grows increasingly skeptical about the value of the U.S. involvement.

As “tunnel rats,” the characters will be tasked with detecting and destroying the networks of underground tunnels used by the Viet Cong. Between extremely dangerous missions, life-saving leave, and the horrors of war, the characters will experience a memorable campaign, culminating in a poignant epilogue during the summer of 1969.

The campaign includes rules for creating a young conscript, a description of the U.S. and Vietnam in the late 1960s, over 70 NPCs, rules for managing post-traumatic stress, and more.

MK-Pharmakos is a campaign for Forgotten Chronicles: Contemporary 2. It is intended for a mature audience.

Requires the Forgotten Chronicles: Contemporary 2 core rulebook.

This book contains:

  • A long-running campaign consisting of a prologue, 16 episodes, and an epilogue
  • A description of the historical context in the United States and Vietnam in the late 1960s
  • Rules for creating a young U.S. Army conscript
  • A description of the soldiers’ training program
  • A description of the tunnels and the missions of the tunnel rats
  • A specific scale for managing post-traumatic stress disorder
  • A list of period weapons and equipment
  • Over 70 NPCs and about twenty maps
