Dig deeper into history and maneuver through the critical choices suffragettes had to make to have a chance to secure an equal franchise for all and win the women's vote!
To win, the suffragette player must get Congress to pass the proposed amendment, and then get three-quarters of the states (36 of the 48 states at the time) to ratify the amendment. The opposition player wins either by preventing Congress from passing the proposed amendment or by having 13 states reject the amendment.
The game lasts six rounds - one round consisting of drawing cards from the players' deck, bidding on strategy cards, and then six rounds of card play where a player can play a card for an event or discard a card to campaign, organize or lobby Congress. If Congress has proposed the amendment but neither 36 states have ratified it nor 13 states have rejected it, the game moves to a final vote.

Votes for Women est un jeu de société immersif qui retrace la lutte pour le droit de vote des femmes aux États-Unis. Le jeu se distingue par son approche pédagogique et son souci du détail historique. Il propose des mécaniques de jeu bien huilées et un rythme haletant, offrant une expérience ludique captivante.
L'un des aspects uniques du jeu est la possibilité d'incarner l'Opposition, ce qui permet de comprendre les forces conservatrices opposées au suffrage féminin. Votes for Women est bien plus qu'un simple divertissement, c'est un hommage aux femmes courageuses qui se sont battues pour l'égalité et une invitation à poursuivre ce combat !Votes for Women est clairement un jeu important qui encourage la réflexion sur la condition féminine, hier et aujourd'hui. Il rappelle que les droits ne sont jamais définitivement acquis et qu'il faut constamment se battre pour les préserver et les étendre. Le jeu est un outil pédagogique précieux pour sensibiliser les joueurs et joueuses à l'histoire du suffrage féminin et à l'importance de l'égalité des droits.
Votes for Women est une expérience unique qui ne manquera pas de marquer celles et ceux qui y jouent, les invitant à regarder la lutte pour l'égalité d'un œil neuf.
