Micro Hero : Ulysse

Description

Outwit Poseidon with clever poker combinations and bring Odysseus back to Ithaca safe and sound.

Over the course of four increasingly difficult rounds, you’ll need to bring Odysseus back to Ithaca while facing a sea whipped into a frenzy by Poseidon’s wrath. By forming powerful combinations from the revealed cards, you’ll attempt to outwit the god of the seas while surviving legendary encounters with the Cyclops, Circe, and the Sirens.

In each round, a multi-level “Sea” board is built. As cards are revealed, you select them to form a five-card hand. Your hand is then compared to Poseidon’s, which is formed from the visible “Sea” cards and his Wrath gauge.

The difference between the two hands determines how his wrath evolves: if you push too far, you risk making him Furious and strengthening his position, while failure accelerates the rise of danger. Ulysses has limited powers to manipulate the “Sea” or adjust his hand, but each action increases Poseidon’s “Rage.”

The tension builds over the course of four rounds, with additional “Trial” cards introduced each round to disrupt your plans and alter the configuration of the “Sea.” At the end of each round, the “Wrath” meter is reset, allowing you to save your progress and pause the game to resume later.

Each round represents a distinct stage of the journey while maintaining a sense of increasing difficulty and ever-greater challenges.

Victory is achieved if you survive all four rounds and manage to contain Poseidon’s wrath before it spirals out of control. The game also includes a two-player cooperative variant in which players control Odysseus and Eurylochus, forming a shared hand of five cards.

Players can communicate freely under normal circumstances, but as soon as Poseidon enters “Fury,” all communication is immediately prohibited until he calms down again, creating a sudden and tense constraint during the most dangerous moments of the journey.
