In this game, you recreate his world using trencadís mosaics – those shards of broken ceramic that he transformed into masterpieces whilst celebrating the three pillars of his work: Nature, Heritage and Religion.
Elegant, colourful and delightfully tactical, Gaudí offers the pleasure of building your own mosaic whilst juggling a delightful dilemma of balancing your various scores.
A game is played over 3 rounds. On your turn, you move your token around the chandelier, a circular track in the centre of the board: the space where you land determines your actions.
Collect Trencadís tiles to compose your mosaic, draw and play cards from the three pillars, or make your chimneys rise… the choice is yours. A clever tip: depending on whether or not your token is the furthest along the track, you’ll have access to more or fewer actions: moving quickly or biding your time becomes a real choice.
Cards can only be played if you’ve collected the right tiles, and each pillar scores differently: Nature when you play, Heritage when you reach the centre of the chandelier, and Religion at the final tally.
