Lunch [atop a Skyscraper], the game inspired by an iconic 1932 photograph
Lunch [atop a Skyscraper] is a game published by Kokorïn Games, designed by Perepau Llistosella and Eloi Pujadas. It is inspired by the famous "Lunch atop a Skyscraper" photograph, taken in 1932 as part of an advertising campaign for the GE Building (30 Rockefeller Plaza) in New York, featuring eleven models posing on a steel beam. Having become world-famous, the photo is now considered the work of an anonymous author — an anecdote that inspired the game. It is the first title in the "Flash-Black" series, dedicated to iconic photographs from history.
How to play Lunch [atop a Skyscraper]
Players take on the role of photographers tasked by an advertising agency with recreating the iconic scene. They collect Worker tiles and arrange them to compose their own photograph, aiming to form the longest continuous series for each of the 8 model characteristics (headwear, outfit, accessory, footwear…).
End of game and scoring in Lunch [atop a Skyscraper]
Points are awarded based on the length of the continuous series achieved for each model characteristic. The photographer who achieves the highest score by best recreating the composition of "Lunch atop a Skyscraper" wins the game.
