A race against time, inspired by Squid Game and In Time
Mothership - Timed Release opens with the players waking up in a sterile medical room, dressed in prison scrubs. Each character wears a digital bracelet fused to their wrist, the CLOC (Commuted Life Occurrence Controller), developed by the Suckler Family Medical Group as a brutal coercion tool for hard-labor prisoners. The bracelet displays a countdown: if the timer hits zero, its wearer dies, usually in a painful or explosive fashion.
To survive, players must make their way through a series of deadly trials to earn back time, under constant tension directly inspired by Squid Game, The Running Man, and In Time.
A countdown as the core game resource
Mothership - Timed Release is built around a real-time countdown mechanic, forcing players into quick, often desperate decisions. Time becomes the central resource: it can be replenished at designated stations, or more lethally transferred from one wrist unit to another, opening the door to potential player-vs-player conflict. Optimized for 3 players, the module comes as a trifold pamphlet, designed as a single, highly lethal session rather than a campaign setting.
