Mothership - Roach Motel, a facility you can never leave
Mothership - Roach Motel places players inside a mothballed R&D facility, abandoned by a corporation after it failed to turn a profit. Unknown to the company, the experimental prototypes left behind have turned the facility into a one-way door: once the crew enters, they cannot leave. The building functions as an inescapable labyrinth with a shifting layout, where other trapped survivors and corporate security measures have turned predatory.
The module introduces M-Light, an experimental light causing short-term memory inhibition: players can lose chunks of time or find themselves in new locations with no memory of how they got there or why their gear is missing. Jamie, a silent, unsettling NPC who communicates only through pre-written cards, appears during these blackouts as both a guide and a potential antagonist.
130 rooms across 10 areas, for slow, oppressive tension
Mothership - Roach Motel contains over 130 rooms spread across 10 distinct areas, organized using a pointcrawl system that makes it easy for the Warden to reference despite the module's scale. The adventure favors slow-burn tension, centered on the oppressive silence of the hallways and the psychological toll on a crew realizing the exit no longer exists.
