Gates of Niflheim - Huskarl Miniatures Set

Game Goal, Mechanics, and Lore

The Huskarl Miniatures Set is an aesthetic expansion for players wishing to visually enrich their Gates of Niflheim games. Huskarls, elite warriors and devoted bodyguards in Viking tradition, hold a special place in the game's tales and combat. This expansion replaces generic tokens with finely sculpted miniatures. By integrating these models onto the tactical map, you enhance the realism of your deployments and instill an increased martial presence to your units during your adventures in the frozen lands of Niflheim.

Setup and Gameplay

The use of this set strictly follows the rules of the Paths Unknown system. When setting up, simply substitute standard tokens or pawns with the corresponding Huskarl miniatures. Their distinctive design facilitates immediate recognition of units on the game board, allowing for fluid tactical reading of combat and movement. The flow of the game and game mechanics remain identical; this addition focuses exclusively on improving components for a more immersive experience.

Victory Conditions and End of Game

The Huskarl Miniatures Set does not influence the victory conditions or end-game mechanics of the scenarios. Resolving your missions still depends on your strategy, resource management, and narrative choices made throughout the campaign. This expansion is a cosmetic supplement aimed at magnifying your clashes without altering the balance or difficulty of the tactical challenges offered by the base game.
