Age of Steam is Warfrog's first foray into train games. It was developed from the game Lancashire Railways (LR), published by Windsome Games. The game combines LR's cargo movement system with a track placement system that gives you greater freedom in building your routes. The core of the game involves moving cargo to the cities that need it. By moving cargo onto one of your own tracks, you increase your income. You can also move cargo using your opponents' tracks, but in this case, they increase their income.
