Big Monster throws you into the discovery of a vibrant, unknown planet, where you'll encounter strange monsters, rare crystals, and complete missions in which you compete against other explorers. In team mode, you must help your partner while trying to sabotage your opponents, as the lowest-performing explorer on each team determines the final score. Each turn, your discovery of the planet is symbolized by the tile you choose and place in front of you. An original drafting mechanic, where you can choose who you pass your remaining tiles to, creates strong interaction and offers real choices with every action. Turns are naturally paced by the drafting mechanic. The variety of tiles and the drafting system provide constant dilemmas. Built around a very simple mechanic (I choose and place a tile in my play area), Big Monster offers immediate fun combined with a genuine learning curve. The initial enjoyment comes from discovering a vibrant world, then from the subtleties of tile selection, and finally from assigning tiles to other players. Fun, tactical, quick to explain and play, Big Monster appeals to both families and expert gamers. :)
