Astoria is the first role-playing and strategy game from Éditions. It comes in a magnificent, thick, engraved wooden box, like an old chest from ancient times!
The inside of the box reveals four glass vials sealed with cork stoppers, 60 large, sparkling gems, a set of 66 game cards (60 different illustrations on these cards), a set of pawns, a double-sided folding paper game board, and two complete rulebooks.
The box contains two different games: the "Laboratory" version and the "Epic" version. Each version uses a different side of the game board.
"The King of Astoria has fallen into a sudden stupor, a sleep that no healer has been able to break. To save the kingdom from the anarchy that threatens it, the six most powerful mages have been summoned from distant lands to the Palace. All the knowledge and resources of the kingdom are placed at their disposal. The King's days are numbered, and his breath is weakening. Each sigh he breathes seems to raise new enemies, new ambitious nobles among the neighboring lords, and each night resonates with new assaults against the city walls. The fate of the King and the kingdom rests in the hands of these sorcerers..."
