Round House is a simple worker placement game with blocking and racing elements, but it has a certain depth and a very particular feel, reminiscent of the excellent IKI.
The same sense of timing is present, as the end of the house's turn triggers a special type of action: the temple.
The game features a lovely embossed board, and the components would have been perfect if the resources had been represented by something other than wooden cubes. There's a lot of combo-building and opportunism involved, which makes this unique game, with its satisfying progression, very enjoyable.
