Similo: Wonders features 36 buildings and monuments from around the world, including ancient wonders and modern masterpieces, all beautifully illustrated by Naiade.
The clue-giver must guide the guessers to identify a secret card by playing other cards from their hand as clues. There are two types of clues: ‘Eliminate’ clues (cards played horizontally, which share a similarity with one or more cards that the guessers must eliminate) and ‘Keep’ clues (cards played vertically, which share a similarity with one or more cards that the guessers must keep).
For example, the secret card is the Colosseum. You could play Petra as a ‘keep’ clue, to suggest to the guessers that the wonders to keep are buildings, made of stone, or part of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Alternatively, you could play the Statue of Liberty as a ‘to eliminate’ clue, to indicate that the wonders to be eliminated are statues, made of metal or built in the modern era.
There are different versions of Similo! If you own several, you can combine two different sets of cards to create new and interesting strategies! Simply choose two versions of Similo and use one as the ‘Guess’ set and the other as the ‘Clues’ set. Can you guess which monument has something in common with the cat, the dog and the wolf from Similo – Animals?
