Cat 40

Description

A tense yet accessible game based on risk-taking and timing.

Cat 40 is a card game of anticipation inspired by blackjack, where players influence the value of toys to reach a target score without ever exceeding it.

The core of the game revolves around hand management and card placement. Players take turns playing a card under a toy to change its attraction value. Each toy can hold two cards, and the cards do not need to match the toy under which they are placed. This freedom of placement creates real tension: a card can be used to set up your own score, throw opponents off the trail, or make certain colors riskier for your opponents.

The game is played in several rounds. The player who comes closest to the target without exceeding it wins the round; if everyone exceeds the target, the player who exceeds it the least wins.

The game ends after seven rounds or as soon as a player wins three rounds, and the player with the most rounds won is declared the winner.
