In this culmination of the Hostage Negotiator series, you'll play ten years in the life of a negotiator (if you don't retire early) .
In each "year" or campaign round of the game, you resolve a career card that introduces you to a narrative event related to or likely to impact your career depending on the choice you make. Then, in most years, but not all, you will be called to the scene of the last hostage situation. The outcome of each negotiation will have an impact on the entire campaign and you will need to track your job stress, personal stress, merit level (for promotions) and rank, among other things.
After the negotiation, you resolve a personal card and are again faced with a narrative event to resolve and, depending on the outcome of your negotiation in that "year", you will be rewarded (or reprimanded) accordingly.
Hostage Negotiator: Career requires the base game Hostage Negotiator, Hostage Negotiator: Crime Wave, and in addition, at least 7 Abductors Packs, one of which must be Pack #7 to play.
