Steam Power – Map Pack, four new territories to explore
Steam Power – Map Pack is an expansion for the train game Steam Power, designed by Martin Wallace and published by Wallace Designs. It allows owners of the standard edition to access the extra maps originally reserved for the Deluxe edition. These four new maps, printed on faux-silk cloth with hand-inked, watercolour artwork, offer as many new playing grounds: West Country (southwest England), SE Australia (southeast Australia), Iberia (Iberian Peninsula) and NE USA (northeast United States).
What Steam Power – Map Pack offers
Each map keeps the core rules of Steam Power — network building, resource production and fulfilling contracts — while offering its own geography and constraints: varying construction costs depending on the terrain (hills, mountains), different city placements. This meaningfully refreshes the gameplay experience with every map used.
Requirements and compatibility of Steam Power – Map Pack
This is an expansion that requires the Steam Power base game: the maps are used with the tracks, factories and resource cubes already found in the base box, with no extra components needed.
