Bring back as much Gruyère cheese as possible with your mice... without them being eaten by the cat.
Kinderspiel des Jahres 2003 (Children's Game of the Year 2003).
Objective:
Collect the most cheese slices.
The mice are placed in the center of the table and the cat on a space (approximately one turn behind). Each player rolls the die and moves one of their mice the indicated number of spaces (from 1 to 5).
How to play:
If a mouse completes a full circuit of the board, it collects a whole cheese, but beware! Two sides of the die move the cat one space, and if the cat catches up with or passes the mice, it eats them! In addition, each time the cat completes a lap of the board, it advances two spaces.
Fortunately, there are hiding places in the four corners of the board that allow the little mice to escape and collect a piece of cheese (which gets bigger as they get closer to the finish line). The game ends as soon as all the mice have reached the finish line, a hiding place… or the cat's stomach!
