It’s a Wonderful Kingdom is a strategy game for 1 to 2 players designed by Frédéric Guérard and published by La Boîte de Jeu and Origames.

In this dark fantasy universe, each player embodies a faction seeking to develop their duchy in order to gain the upper hand over their rival. The game draws on the universe and certain principles of It’s a Wonderful World, but offers an experience that has been completely redesigned for duels.

The central mechanic is based on a draft that combines bluffing and dividing cards into two piles:
  • An open pile
  • A hidden pile
Your opponent will choose one of the two, creating constant tension between strategy and psychology.

Once the cards have been distributed, players develop their production engine (resources, buildings, characters) to generate as many victory points as possible.

The game offers several modular scenarios, renewing the experience and offering great replayability.
