Try your luck at survival in this single player Sleepy Hollow adventure.

Players must guide Ichabod from the Van Tassel mansion through the forest to the covered bridge before time runs out and the headless horseman chases him. Players will have to take chances, avoid scares, and keep their cool to bring Ichabod home safely!

In Lost in the Woods , a player has 60 minutes (12 units of time) to cross 9 Wood cards in the Forest row and reach the covered bridge. To do this, players draw cards from the Journey deck, usually placing them next to the deck to form the Fear row. The Wood cards that appear have one of three luck symbols on them. When there are at least two Wood cards in the Fear row with a matching symbol, the player can spend a time to take one of those Wood cards and place it in the Forest row. The problem is that Wood cards cannot be placed in the Forest row next to another Wood card with the same luck symbol.

Fear cards can also appear from the Travel deck. These three cards - a wolf, a bat and an owl - are placed in the Fear row. If, at any time, there is a pair of identical Fright cards in the Fright row, the entire Fright row is discarded. If there is a pair of Wood cards in the Fright row, the player does not lose time. If there is not, the player loses time.

If there are three different Fear cards in the Fear row, the entire Fear row is discarded and the player loses two times.

The deck also contains several Event cards which, when drawn, trigger an effect and are discarded. These can be the torch, which allows the player to discard the Fright cards in the Fright row, or the headless horseman himself, which forces the player to discard the first Wood card in the Forest row if there are Fright cards in the Fright row.
