Collectively develop a technology tree to fuel the automation and colonization of space.
The game takes place over a variable number of rounds until players collectively claim a certain number of achievements at the end of the game. The winner is the faction with the most victory points, earned by researching technologies, improving their economy, controlling and colonizing systems, and completing various objectives and events throughout the game.
During a turn, a player moves his action counter to an empty action space, then performs that action. They then conduct their production phase, either by producing ore, increasing their population, or trading one of these resources for another. Finally, they can claim up to one objective, if possible.
As players take action, they seek out new technologies that come in four levels. Each technology is of one of the four types (scientific, economic, military, commercial), and higher level technologies must match one of the technology types that lead to it.
Thus, players create their own technology tree in each game, using these actions to increase their military strength, jump to different habitable exoplanetary systems, colonize those systems, increase their resource production, develop android technology that allows for population-free growth, and more.
